Soap is one of the things everyone has in their home, and it is usually used for everything related to cleaning. You will find all kinds of different soap products in the store, including special types designed for something specific. But besides being a necessity for personal hygiene and keeping the house clean, it can also be a great help to use soap in other areas as well.

Use soap to prevent paint stains

All you need is a damp soap to protect your doors and windows from stray paint and drips when you paint the walls of your house. Make sure you also cover the hinges and knobs to avoid spills and stains.

Nail nails

Are you tired of slapping your fingers when trying to nail something to the wall? Say goodbye to this painful irritation with a small bar of soap. Moisten the soap, rub it on the “body” of the nail, and continue to nail it into the wall. This makes the nail go into the wall much smoother, so you do not have to risk hitting your fingers so much!

3. Detect gas leaks

Gas leaks are a worrying problem, especially because they can be difficult to detect in time. If you ever think you can smell gas, mix soap with water and do a test on your pipes. Apply it to the areas where you suspect the problem is. If it bubbles, it means there is a leak.

4. Lubricate drawer rails

8. Polish bumps and cracks

Although this does not work on all types of shoes, a little soap can help you  make leather shoes that are hard on the feet a little softer. Rub the soap over the inside of the shoe, leave it for a couple of hours, and enjoy more comfortable shoes.

10. Get rid of difficult stains

There are all kinds of stain removers out there to get your clothes clean. However, some of them are made from chemicals that not only affect the substance, but can also be bad for the environment

To prevent exposure to these chemicals, you may want to use this simple trick with white soap. Place the bar of soap under the fabric where the stain is, moisten the area and rub to remove the stain.
