Soaps and cleaners always claim to have the perfect recipe to get rid of bacteria. However, these little invaders have found a home in every corner of our planet, ever since the beginning.

As small as they are, some bacteria can attack our body and cause serious damage through disease. This group is what we call biological pathogens . The worst thing is that these microscopic organisms  can live in small nooks and crannies you could never even imagine.

Sponges are full of soap, so we think everything is spotless in them. However, a moist sponge is an ideal environment for the growth of microorganisms, which are harmful to your health.

The thing is, the sponges are not just full of soap. They are also full of all kinds of small particles from leftovers and other things found in the kitchen or sink.

Some studies indicate that these pathogens can live up to two weeks in a fungus.

• Therefore, it is important to always squeeze the water out of them. This will prevent the collection of excess water that allows the reproduction of bacteria and other pathogens.
• It is also recommended to replace sponges and scrubs frequently.

Cutting board

The problem with cutting boards is that we use them to cut raw meat, then fruit and then vegetables. Cutting boards are the ideal place for very dangerous microbes to grow.

Bacteria such as salmonella, campylobacter and Escherichia coli are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the most common inhabitants of kitchenware.

When washcloths, soap and even water come in contact with them, the perfect environment is laid for incubating all kinds of microorganisms.

Knobs and handles

We open the window and we turn the knob, but we do not understand the danger we are exposing ourselves to. We talk about things that we use every single day, and yet forget to clean.

This is because the bath is a place where intestinal microbes abound. Basically, they travel from the toilet to everywhere else.

Toy

Most parents teach their children to keep their toys in baskets or shelves, but few understand the importance of disinfecting them from time to time.

Toys are  very often placed in places full of bacteria: pillows, floors, bathtubs, blankets, etc. It is the parents’ job to disinfect them once in a while.

Action figures, blocks and other toys can be dangerous, especially when we consider that the bacterial flora and immune system in infants are much more vulnerable than in adults.

Wooden toys especially attract a lot of microorganisms and bacteria.

Moisture and bacteria
